Teledyne RDI's DVLs are ideally suited for installation on a wide array of Unmanned Underwater Vehicles (UUVs). The unit's compact size and low power requirements, combined with its versatile, proven technology make it the tool of choice for UUV designers and manufacturers around the world. In fact, Teledyne RDI DVLs are now installed on every commercial UUV designed to date.
The Workhorse Navigator DVL can be used stand alone to collect high precision velocity data, or can be integrated into an existing navigation system to provide frequent, and crucial, navigation updates.
Teledyne RDI's DVLs' play a key role in these vehicle configurations, providing not only navigation, but also precision current profiling data from the Acoustic Doppler Current Profiler(ADCP) unit -- all in a single self contained unit.
Teledyne RDI manufactures both standard and specially designed DVLs, which allows our customers to configure the unit to suit their unique requirements.
